How do I verify an online company is legitimate?

I was told i was hired to work for a company called Get A Florist Limited or www.getafloristnow.com I can't find much information on the company. I just want to know if anybody has heard of this company? They said i am to start my training and will get paid by checks that I have to put into my bank account but since i've heard of people being scammed this way i'm sketchy about it. If anybody has heard of this company and has a phone number please let me know. I forgot to ask for a phone number after i did the interview
