Considering deficits and job creation are top issues, shouldn't more states follow NY's example?

NY stands to make as much as 400 million from the tourism and business being generated by the recent passage of gay marriage. Florists, restaurants, tailors, and businesses across the state will be booming and hiring when the gays come to get married. Isn't this type of revenue and economic stimulation something other states facing shortfalls are in desperate need of?
