I want to clone store bought rose cuttings..?

I've been doing a lot of research in the past 24 hours b/c i want to move quickly as the buds are looking spent. Which is apparently the best time to do it. I am having a hard time finding information about cloning store bought clippings though. And i do not mean the type found at the florists, i mean the type found at your regular grocery store, or wal-mart even. I was wondering the likely hood of success with such roses, and if there are any different steps to be taken with a store bought clipping rather than a garden or florist clipping. If you have experience or know some one who has experience, please give me some advice.
