When does it end? And when will people realize that man does not have a strong effect on the environment?

In the 1970s there was a global cooling scare due to low average temperatures. Soon after global temperatures started to rise, which lead to the global warming scare. But lately average temperature have dropped again which has lead to a new global scare known as climate change.
